Dave and I wanted a longer-ish ceremony that included our families. We also wanted to read our own vows, which Uncle David T kindly video recorded for us along with the rest of the ceremony and other highlights of the day (Thanks!). I really, really wanted it to be outside, which I got worried about watching the weather reports. But, as the pictures show, the sun shone down on us as we held each others' hands and said, "I do."
First, though, we had to "process"...
Then our parents gave their blessing. We wanted all of our parents to be involved, and it meant the world to us to have them stand up and support our marriage.
We were also honored to have amazing friends standing beside us.
Julie read a poem...
Aunt Sandy sang...
And Grandma Madeline and Grandma Nancy each did readings...
The we had our first kiss as husband and wife...
And we were ready to ride (or run) off into the sunset!
